The Eckerd Academy of the Blue Ridge Summer School spent a recent weekend on an Adventure to the Nantahala River. The students had a great time, and with the warm temperatures, the cold water of the Nantahala River was refreshing and invigorating. They finished up the weekend with some activities on the ropes course at Eckerd Academy of the Blue Ridge. Needless to say, everyone slept well Sunday night.

The summer school, an Adventure Based 7-week Academic Credit Recovery Program, is approaching its mid-point. The students are doing well with their academics, and are looking forward to the rest of the weekend adventures. These include a trip to the Ocoee River, and a canoe trip on the Toccoa River to Lake Blue Ridge.
