Eckerd-Blue Ridge Offers
7-Week Summer Program

Eckerd Academy of the Blue Ridge, located in Suches, GA, will offer a seven-week Therapeutic Summer Camp emphasizing academics and personal growth through outdoor adventures. The camp is ideally suited for boys ages 13 - 18 needing high school core credits, SAT/ACT preparation classes or advance coursework, as well as guidance in developing better communications, problem solving and relationship-building skills. Students will have the opportunity to earn one core academic credit, as well as one Physical Education credit or one Adventure Education Credit.

The seven-week session will be a blend of academics and outdoor adventure to provide a unique summer experience. Along with academics, there will be whitewater rafting trips, backpacking trips, horsemanship program and personal growth workshops. Each week will be themed based, and students will participate in workshops such as family dynamics, relational healing, anxiety and peer choices. Using group discussions, journaling and one on one discussion, each student has a great opportunity for self-discovery and growth.
