This past summer Echo Springs staff spent two days focusing on well-being - for themselves. Led by Dr. Katherine Czesak, clinical therapist and advocate for the psychology of well-being movement, the faculty spent time discussing their personal goals, formulating strategies to accomplish them and celebrating what we are grateful for in our lives.

"It was such a gift," said one faculty member. "I really appreciated the time to take a look at what does make me happy, and to see how much I do have to be grateful for."

Plans are under way for Dr. Czesak to return and lead a workshop with faculty on how to focus on well-being with students. She will also lead a workshop for students on the same subjects.

Echo Springs Study Transition Center is a post-graduate program 18 to 24 year old men and women looking for new direction. They are typically doubtful of their abilities and talents and are often stuck in self-sabotaging patterns of isolation, fearful, hungry for safety and success, confused, challenging, show evidence of the ability to practice the skills and behaviors that lead them to independence and clearer identity, and are ready and willing to grow up. They have also made a decision to make a change in their lives.
