Eating Recovery Center Offers Holiday Treatment Resources

Dear Colleagues,

In response to the anxiety that can accompany heightened exposure to food-centric gatherings of friends, family and colleagues, treatment professionals often observe an escalation of eating disordered thoughts and behaviors and lapses in recovery during this time of year. In many cases, a higher level of care may be necessary to protect the patient's recovery for the remainder of the holiday season and into the New Year.

For outpatient professionals with plans to be away from their practices during the holidays or whose patients require medical stabilization, psychiatric stabilization and/or additional recovery support, Eating Recovery Center will be running uninterrupted treatment programming throughout the holiday season to meet the needs of eating disordered children, adolescents, adults and families. Master's-level therapists from the Clinical Assessment department are available around-the-clock (including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day) to discuss admissions. Additionally, Eating Recovery Center's Business Office team is available to educate patients and families about insurance coverage and financial obligations related to treatment.
