Eagle Summit, a new adolescent male residential treatment center in Missouri will be opening our doors this month on the 25th!
Eagle Summit is licensed by the Missouri Children's Division and accredited by the Council on Accreditation. The program is seeking NATSAP membership. Fourteen beds are available for males ages 13-18 with significant emotional and behavioral challenges.
The Program Administrator, program Consultant and Director of Business Development and Admissions all come to Eagle Summit from an industry leader in adolescent residential treatment; and bring collectively many years of RTC experience.
Eagle Summit uses a Native American Circle of Courage philosophy combined with Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Two DBT groups will be held each week and lead by a licensed therapist. Weekly individual and family therapy, daily groups and monthly family weekends on campus are a part of the program.
All in all, this treatment program provides a great deal of therapy for only $200 per day.Nightly wake staff, on campus nursing and psychiatric services for medication management is included. Eagle Summit's academic program is an online curriculum to start; shifting to an on campus school with a teacher and aide in the classroom. This will occur soon as the program develops.
Eagle Summit is located on 160 acres. Our students will live in 7 dorm rooms which are inside a wing of the home on the property. Each dorm room has 2 beds and a full, private-bathroom. The facility has recently been updated and remodeling is ongoing in other buildings on the property. On campus we have a set of Group Logs for nightly group meetings around campfires.
The Clinical Director is extensively trained in DBT, as well as the Stages of Change, an alcohol and drug treatment philosophy. We will be using this model with our boys who have accelerated substance abuse needs.
