Becomes IB World School

After a demanding three-year application process and hundreds of hours of professional development training around the globe, Eagle Hill School is pleased to announce that we are now officially approved as an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School offering the Diploma Programme. Our expectation is that ten to fifteen percent of Eagle Hill school students may choose to pursue the full IB Diploma Programme while the majority of our students will continue to design their own path to graduation following our traditional college preparatory diploma route. At the same time, many more students will have an opportunity to take individual IB courses in their areas of academic strength. We are proud to add the IB Diploma Programme to our offerings and expect that it will further enhance the experience of our students by providing new directions for intellectual inquiry, collaboration, and academic exploration.

Eagle Hill School will begin offering the IB Diploma Programme to qualifying members of the junior class in the fall of 2017. Interested students will be able to apply to the Diploma Programme or register to take individual IB courses by working with their advisors during course planning in the spring of their sophomore year.
