EAGALAs Keynote Address is free and open to the Public during Arena Day at Asheville Civic Center
Arena Day will be Thursday, March 12, 2009 at the Asheville Civic Center, 87 Haywood Street, Asheville, NC. At 2:30 p.m., the public is invited to attend and learn from the keynote speaker, Karen Scholl, Equine Clinician. Her expertise, humor and story-telling provide an engaging, fun and informative presentation! Although her program is titled Women and Horsemanship, she does not exclude men and everyone will find this to be a great way to spend 2 hours. With over 20 years of study and 13 years of teaching experience, Karen brings her program to Horse Expos, Clinics and Courses throughout the United States.

Karen Scholl's workshops will utilize horses from Horse Sense of the Carolinas, Inc. Horse Sense of the Carolinas, Inc. is a nationally recognized experiential learning and therapeutic resource for individuals, families, schools, business and mental health professionals. Horse Sense utilizes authentic learning experiences to foster life skills and character development. Located in western North Carolina, Horse Sense uses experiential learning modalities to develop positive emotional, mental, behavioral and social skills of those who may be at risk or have special needs.

Horse Sense has been creating positive change for people and horses in Western North Carolina since 2003 and is an EAGALA-approved Provider of Continuing Education, with the first EAGALA Advanced Certified staff in the United States.
