Guy Dumas of Continuum Coaching and Ruben Jimenez of the Road Home have teamed up to provide a preeminent seamless transitional support team to help your client hold on to the precious gains made in wilderness or therapeutic boarding school.

With over twenty years' combined experience in transition coaching and hundreds of days logged as expedition leaders, Guy and Ruben each have developed his own unique and highly effective coaching model.

Guy works with the student. His approach is to guide the student toward success in spite of parents who are overwhelmed, overcommitted, or unavailable. He offers a three-month transition program based on his Continuum Coaching model. This program includes weekly phone calls, and begins with an initial face-to-face visit in the field.

Ruben works with the parents. While Guy works with the students, Ruben creates a parallel process for the parents as they prepare to bring their child home. Based on his model in his book, The Road Home: A Guide for Parents with Teens or Young Adults Returning from Treatment, he coaches parents on how to avoid the most common pitfalls awaiting students and families after treatment.

Through independently developing their different coaching models, Guy and Ruben came to understand two critical points when it comes to transition coaching:
  • Parents and students both have to make a transition after wilderness or boarding school
  • Parents and students transition differently.
Based on this understanding, Guy and Ruben began to work in partnership, using complimentary models, to advance the students and parents toward success. Through years of persistent effort, each refined his approach so that it works consistently with a wide range of clients. They communicate behind-the-scenes about progress, challenges, and clients' needs, which provides a seamless experience for parents and student, and lets each party feel that they have an advocate.

Wilderness and Boarding graduates returning home need to make a solid transition. Their parents need ongoing support. Guy and Ruben are here to offer that, and to make your program even more exceptional.

Please contact Guy and Ruben for details and pricing.
