Janna Blaine Says Farewell To Duck River

I hope this email finds everyone doing well and taking advantage of what is left of the summer.

I just wanted to write you all a quick note to let you know that tomorrow will be my last day as the Director of Admissions at Three Springs Duck River. It has been my privilege over the last 2 years to get to know each one of you, whether we met in person at a conference, talked on the phone about a boy or worked closely together as we both helped move a young man through the program. When I first started at Duck over 6 years ago as a Frontline Counselor, I never thought I would work in a position like Admissions because it would be too far removed from the relationships that I held so dear with the boys. But what I quickly discovered was that it still allowed me to have strong relationships with the boys, but build relationships with folks such as yourselves, who were just as passionate as I was about helping these boys and their families. Getting to know each one of you has truly been a blessing.

Although I will be leaving, you and the families you work with will remain in good hands as my position is being filled by Deidre Butte.....again! Many of you know Deidre, either from the time she spent here as the Director of Admissions before me (she filled the position for 5 years) or because she helped facilitate a tour for you to come visit us here at the Duck or one of our other campuses as a Referral Relations Rep. All in all Deidre has been with Duck River/Three Springs for over 6 years and is more then qualified and capable of doing an amazing job as the Admissions Director. I am 100% confident that she will take very good care of you and the families you send her way. I hope to be able to stay connected to the industry as I move back to Canada to be closer to my family and start school, so if I am lucky our paths will cross again some day. Thank you so much for everything that you do for the kids and families you work with, and thank you for your continued support of the work that Duck River does. Without that support we never would have made it to our 20th Anniversary Celebration this year! You are all a huge part of that accomplishment and am so thankful for that.
