Bradley Evans Joins Discovery Academy

Bradley Evans, CSW, has joined the therapeutic team at Discovery Academy. Formerly employed by Silverado, Evans says he appreciates Discovery's emphasis on experiential therapy.

"Adolescents respond much more when they're being involved in something, rather than sitting in an office being asked, 'how does that make you feel?'" Evans says. He adds, "The emphasis is on being active with the students."

"Brad's an exceptional therapist," notes Matthew Hendry, Clinical Director at Discovery Academy. "He's a great addition to our experiential clinical team."Evans graduated from Brigham Young University with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in social work. He is working towards his LCSW.

Brad and his wife are the parents of a one-year-old son. He enjoys playing volleyball, snowboarding, motorcycle riding, and cooking. "My specialties are meatloaf and banana cream pie," he says.

Discovery Academy is a therapeutic boarding school for students ages 13-17. Located in Provo, Utah, Discovery Academy combines experiential therapy with a relationship model to inspire students to discover self, serve others, and pursue academic excellence.
