We are excited to announce that after several interviews of potential applicants from Utah as well as from across the country, the Admissions Director position at Discovery Academy has been extended to Christin Prestwich, LAMFT.
Christin will coordinate and facilitate student transitions from other therapeutic programs across the country. With professional experience at Discovery Academy as a therapist, her insight, compassionate demeanor and customer service attitude allow her to quickly connect with families and help the students navigate the transition in a smooth way.
As a reminder, Discovery Academy provides a boarding school environment with wrap-around therapeutic support in specific clinical areas. These include substance abuse, eating disorders and trauma to name few. DBT Skills Training, traditional 12-Step Groups, Equine and Drama Therapy activities are a few of the therapeutic support methods used by the students.
We also feature school club activities that range from city recreation athletics, civic/community involvement, work opportunities and wilderness renewal for those students who want to stay connected to their wilderness treatment experience.
Discovery Academy is the perfect place for the bright underachiever with previous therapeutic success coupled with an academic drive to attend any level of college in the near future.
