Discovery Academy just completed its busiest January in the school's eight year history with more than 17 students enrolling in the therapeutic boarding school in just one month.

Dr. Triston Morgan, Admissions Director, says August and September are traditionally the largest admissions periods for troubled teens. He says total enrollment at the school is now 92 students.

Brent Hall, Discovery's Executive Director, says families recognize the tremendous teen help value the Academy provides. "Considering this is a recessionary economy, we are very fortunate to be in this situation. This is a result of our phenomenal staff who come in early, stay late, and work independently to provide families the help they need."

Discovery Academy uses a hybrid-coed experiential model. As a therapeutic boarding school, the Provo, Utah academy was deliberately designed to serve a maximum of 96 struggling teens. There are no plans to expand its small school environment despite the surge in enrollment.

"Creating the kind of academic and therapeutic experience we provide requires individualized learning and treatment plans," Hall notes. "We intend to continue to deliver therapeutic excellence one-on-one."

Discovery Academy is a therapeutic boarding school for troubled teens and a sister program to RedCliff Ascent, Discovery Ranch and Oxbow Academy.
