Dear Friends & Colleges,
As we begin another year at Dimple Dell Canyon, I say thank you for all your support and assistance over the years. Your personal feedback and continued relationships provide improvement to our program and lasting friendships that are second to none. Thank you for your continued trust in Dimple Dell Canyon and the wonderful friendships we have created over the years.
With a new year comes reflection and resolution for Vista at Dimple Dell Canyon. For many years we have provided a solid clinical program incorporating effective and creative therapeutic interventions into the individualized treatment of our students. While this clinical diversity continues to be a driving force for Dimple Dell Canyon, we have made improvements to our clinical team and therapeutic direction with the hire of Jason Capel and new Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Programming. The DBT program will serve as a clinical staple to compliment our existing treatment modalities of poly-substance abuse, trauma, anxiety, depression, and personality disorders. Dimple Dell is excited about our therapeutic additions and continued education for our staff, peers, families, and students we serve.
Jason Capel, LCSW, comes to Dimple Dell with many years of clinical experience working with adolescents. Jason has worked in both wilderness and residential treatment settings as a therapist and clinical director. Jason directs the clinical component of Dimple Dell Canyon through a dialectical lens to better prepare our female students and families for a successful future. Dimple Dell added two additional DBT groups, the use of behavior chain analysis, and implementation of diary cards to enhance the individual comprehension of the DBT skill set and self-regulation. Further, an additional family focus piece has been created to increase the parent's awareness of how to better communicate with their child. The family piece is designed to provide parents with a common language to use with their daughter as a resolution tool in the improvement of family cohesion and communication for the future.
Dimple Dell Canyon is very excited about these administrative additions and improvements to our clinical program. We welcome Jason Capel with enthusiasm and excitement in this New Year. His high energy and diverse therapeutic knowledge is a tremendous asset for Dimple Dell Canyon and the students and families we serve.
