The Deck House School

The Deck House School, founded in 1979, is ready to open its doors for its 30th anniversary year.

The Deck House School is a small residential, college preparatory high school for young men ages 15-19 who have struggled in the academic mainstream. Students and staff work together to create a community that builds positive relationships and encourages social, emotional, and academic growth.

Over the past thirty years we have continued to strive to grow and improve within our mission. This spring, our efforts were rewarded with accreditation by The New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

Headmaster, Tom Blackford shared "This will be my fourteenth year with the school and I find the beginning of a new year just as exciting as ever. We have space available for the start of the fall trimester and I would be happy to discuss any prospective students".

Over the last five years, graduates from The Deck House School have received acceptances at colleges and universities nationwide, including Bryant University, Burlington College, California College of the Arts, Champlain College, College of Santa Fe, Colby Sawyer College, Drew University, Eckerd College, Fort Lewis College, Franklin Pierce University, Full Sail University, Green Mountain College, Hartwick College, Jacksonville University, Lynchburg College, Lynn University, Menlo College, Mercyhurst College, New England College, Nichols College, Roanoke College, Sierra Nevada College, Stetson University, Western Carolina University, Western State College of Colorado, Whittier College.
