Larry McArthur, CEO and Founder of Daybreak Canyon announced their program Daybreak Canyon, is officially open, having just received their licensing from Idaho.
This unique program is a green, residential treatment center for young men ages 12-17 that are struggling with academics, negative behaviors and friendships or alcohol and drug abuse.
CEO and Founder is Dustin Larna, who has previous experience working with adolescents in residential care in both Alaska and Idaho.
Jen McArthur is the therapist at Daybreak Canyon, who has spent several years working with teens in boarding schools, wilderness programs and outpatient therapy settings.
Besides community service activities that all the students participate in, another distinctive aspect to Daybreak Canyon's program is the use of international service trips, whereas students travel abroad to provide service to such places as an orphanage in Haiti, an orphanage in Mexico, and a school for children of lepers in India, in addition, parents and family members are invited to attend these trips.
The ongoing project and focus since our opening is living in a green environment, which includes working on wind generated energy and using geothermal resources of the property.
