Practice In Massachusetts

Mark Dávila, LICSW, has established a private practice in psychotherapy in Cambridge, MA. Dávila is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist and an Associate in Psychiatry in the Harvard Medical School. He has completed fellowships and advanced training programs with the Program for Psychotherapy at the Cambridge Hospital and with the American Psychoanalytic Association. He is currently accepting new therapy clients into the practice. Dávila also offers clinical consultations to discuss treatment options with people who are unsure about beginning psychotherapy.

Services include individual psychotherapy with adults and adolescents and couple's therapy. He works successfully with clients who experience anxiety, depression, psychosis, and/or substance abuse. Dávila specializes in the treatment of individuals with trauma histories, including sexual, physical, and emotional abuse; the treatment of issues related to sex, sexual orientation, sexual dysfunction, and relationship intimacy; and the treatment of issues related to gender.

Dávila is a graduate of Rocky Mountain Academy (RMA), a former CEDU school and one of the first "therapeutic boarding schools". This experience makes him particularly well-suited to working with graduates from "emotional growth" boarding schools, their families, and/or their partners.

Dávila is also a graduate of the Smith College School of Social Work in Northampton, MA, where he obtained a master's degree in social work. He was graduated summa cum laude from Boston University in Boston, MA, with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. His practice is conveniently located in Central Square in Cambridge, with easy access to public transportation and ample parking.
