We are extremely happy to announce that Dean Porterfield, LPC, MHSP, NCC has recently accepted the position of Clinical Coordinator for the Youth Program at Cumberland Heights Treatment Center. Dean is no stranger to working with adolescents in a residential setting. For more than 7 years, Dean administrated a private adolescent residential program. Recently Dean has had a successful private practice. He has developed innovative programming combining a variety of proven therapeutic techniques and interventions including Impact Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), 12-Steps and Experiential/ Outdoor Therapeutic Interventions. Dean has presented at national conferences on adolescent issues and is frequently asked to train other professionals in the industry. He achieved both his BA in Psychology and MA in Counseling from West Virginia University. We couldn't be more excited as we look forward to the positive impact Dean's knowledge and experience will add to our Youth Program.
Cumberland Heights' teen drug rehab programs provide a wide range of services for adolescents ages 13 to 18 who are struggling with substance abuse or dependency. We offer a 30-day primary residential program specifically designed to address the youth's chemical dependency, an extended residential program and intensive outpatient treatment.
