We are excited to announce that Jacque Bow, M.Ed, LPC has joined our team as our new Clinical Director and Josh Rousselow, B.S. as our Project Coordinator.

Jacque was born and raised in the Chihuahua Desert of Alpine Texas and comes from a long line of health care professional that have been native to the area for many generations.

Jacque graduated high school from Saint Stephen's Episcopal Boarding/ College Preparatory School in Austin Texas where she was a residential leader and on campus proctor. She was recognized and chosen to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum for students who are interested in pursuing a degree in the Medical field. Jacque earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health with a minor in Biology from The University of Texas in San Antonio. She completed an internship at a medical clinic treating and counseling underprivileged clients while attending The University of San Antonio. She also worked at the UTSA Health and Wellness Center and taught students and faculty how to make positive and healthy lifestyle changes in order to improve quality of life. After graduation she returned back to the Alpine area and earned her Master's degree in Education Counseling, LPC track. During graduate school, Jacque interned as a therapist at the Counseling and Wellness Center at Sul Ross State University.

After completing her Master's degree, she joined a prominent residential treatment center for adolescents' full time and became a fully Licensed Professional Counselor. Jacque also has further training in EMDR and worked as Team Therapist from 2011 through 2016 doing individual, group and family therapy. She also assisted with new student intake, consultation, public relations, training and developing staff, networking, as well as training and mentoring interns.

Josh grew up in Southern Oregon and moved to West Texas as a student at Sul Ross State University. He has a fascination for the natural work and outdoors so he studied Biology and Chemistry as well as participated in the Ronald E. McNair Scholars program for undergraduate research. Josh's has had further study and focus on Plant Physiology, Morphology of Vascular Plants, Parasitology, Toxic and Medical Plants, Honors Toxicology, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry and Photochemistry.

Josh started his professional career as a milieu instructor at a residential treatment program for adolescents in Texas and he then became a Formal Group Leader with adolescent at-risk youth for several years. He also worked getting students involved in the community, which projects such as "Adopt-a-highway" and the Chihuahua Desert Research Institute.

We are very excited to have Jacque and Josh as a part of the Coral Reef Team. They will both be working from the US until they make a full transition to the island in early October.

Coral Reef Academy is residential treatment center located in Samoa that employs sophisticated treatment approaches coupled with immersions into culture, community, and therapy to help young men with emotional difficulties find their way to healing, maturity, and independence.
