Expanding Science Program

Copper Canyon is pleased to announce the expansion of its lab sciences program with the creation of a "state of the art" experiential science lab in the Willow House dorm. The Willow House was the original structure that CCA was built around during its founding in 1998. This will take place as part of a dramatic structural and cosmetic renovation of this dormitory. "Our girls, who tend to have an aptitude in the math and sciences have outgrown their current space", says Executive Director Tracy Edwards, "This will give them the facilities we need to take our science program to the next level."

Copper Canyon Academy is a nationally recognized, college preparatory residential treatment center for adolescent girls ages 13-17. Copper Canyon specializes in trauma, co-occuring disorders and family systems. It is a small, nurturing, emotionally safe community of 65-70 students representing 20 states and three foreign countries.
