Copper Canyon Academy, an all-girls residential treatment center and college preparatory boarding school, is pleased to announce the appointment of Tracy Edwards to Executive Director. Tracy has over 20 years of experience working with struggling youth in wilderness, residential treatment center, and therapeutic boarding school settings.

Tracy was the previous executive director for Adirondack Leadership Expeditions. Prior to this, she worked at Bromley Brook School and the Academy at Swift River where she served as director of residential life.

"Tracy brings to this position proven leadership, strong communication and interpersonal skills that will be of tremendous value to the Copper Canyon Academy program , staff, students and families," said Rick Meeves, Ph.D., LMFT, Regional Vice President of Western Youth Services for CRC Health Group, parent company of Copper Canyon Academy.

Tracy was born and raised in Wales, Great Britain, and moved the United States in 1994. She began working with troubled youth as a volunteer, then spent eight years with a wilderness program in Idaho. Following that, Tracy served in roles of increasing responsibility at several well-known therapeutic boarding schools across the United States.

"My entire career has been based on helping families come together to overcome the emotional trauma of teen development years," said Tracy. "I am passionate about providing the highest level of service for children and families in need of direction and a brighter future."

Copper Canyon Academy all-girls' boarding school offers high-quality residential care, a highly experienced and diverse clinical team, and a fully accredited junior high and high school education for girls ages 12-17 who may be struggling with behavioral or academic issues.
