We're pleased as punch to announce the opening of our online Etsy store: Handmade by CooperRiis

What distinguishes CooperRiis from other treatment programs is that we are focused on an individuals' strengths, not just on managing their symptoms. Our residents are actively engaged every day in meaningful work where they can see that their efforts have a direct, positive impact on their community.

Our Community Work and Service (CWS) program is the foundation of our day to day life here. The CWS program creates an active structure for each day, getting residents involved in meaningful, healthy work for the community and themselves - be it growing vegetables in our gardens, learning cooking skills in our kitchens, learning the art of soap and lotion making at our Asheville campus, or tending to our animals in Mill Spring.

Our residents get up in the morning knowing that the world needs them. Everyone contributes meaningfully in some way each day.

By purchasing products from our online Etsy store, Handmade by CooperRiis, you are supporting the result of much hard work done by the hands of our communities.

It all begins down on the farm in Mill Spring, where our much-loved dairy goats are milked by hand. That milk is then transported to our Asheville campus where it is transformed into soap, lotion, and chapstick. Those products, made with such care and love, are now available to you!

Need a second, awesome reason to shop?

By purchasing products from Handmade by CooperRiis, you are also supporting our Peer Support Specialist (PSS) Training fund, which assists residents in becoming certified Peer Support Specialists. A PSS is a person who has progressed in their own recovery and is willing to self-identify as a peer and work to assist other individuals with addiction or mental health challenges.

100% of the profits from the soap, lotion, and chapstick sold through Handmade by CooperRiis go to our Peer Support Specialist Training fund.

Thank you for your support and Happy Holidays!
