College Excel would like to share several important staff announcements:

It is with both sadness and support that we inform you that Dennis Crowell has resigned as Program Director effective July 1, 2009 to open a private counseling practice in Bend. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the energy and leadership he had provided for the College Excel program and team over the past year. We wish him much success as he embarks on this lifelong dream. All program related matters can be directed to Mike Smith.

Mike Smith, Academic Director, celebrates his third year with College Excel. Mike was instrumental in developing our first Summer Intensive program in 2007 and has overseen its operation since its inception. He brings over 25 years of experience working with college students in the area of student leadership and development. This past year Mike completed his coaching certification in behavioral coaching. His track record of developing student academic and personal strengths is the cornerstone of our student success.

Jody Gold had stepped on board as the Director of Student Life. Jody has been with College Excel since January 2008 and holds a Bachelor's degree from Yale University and a coaching certification in behavioral coaching. He is currently completing his training in Hakomi psychotherapy. Jody brings over ten years of teaching and coaching experience to the position. With his interest in systems analysis, curriculum development, alternative learning approaches and the human potential, we look forward to seeing tremendous growth in our student life department.

We are pleased to announce that Barbara Cass has permanently joined the College Excel team as our Admissions Counselor. Barb has been working as our interim Admissions Counselor and parent coach since December 2008. Barb holds a coaching certificate in behavioral coaching and is a certified parent and NLP coach. She brings over 30 years of experience working with young adults, parents and their families to our team. Barb will continue to provide parent coaching services to College Excel parents.

Carrie Hardie joined College Excel in March 2009 as our marketing specialist. With over 20 years of experience in business and sales, Carrie's high standards and professional warmth make her a welcome addition to our team. Carrie's duties include attending IECA conferences and coordinating tours for professionals and families who would like to visit College Excel.
