Clearview is excited to offer a new opportunity for parents at Clearview Horizon. Starting June 1, 2009 we will be accepting applications for our summer program. The summer program will be an intense three month intervention that will help students and families with the struggles, anxiety, and frustration surrounding today's lives. Our devoted, experienced staff gives students and families tools and experiences that they can use to improve relationships and self worth. These opportunities allow both parents and students to experience firsthand the benefits of engaging in the therapeutic process and learn the standards that Clearview strives to teach its students: Academic Fitness, Physical Fitness, and Emotional Fitness, coupled with an intensive therapeutic plan. Further it is an opportunity to invite our past students that are struggling at home, to take time to reconnect with the values, work ethic/accountability that they were taught at Clearview.

Our students participate in an intensive therapeutic program which includes individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy. All of these identified groups are facilitated by a licensed clinical therapist. Our goal is to impress upon our students the immediate need for change and an opportunity to assist the student and family learn new skills that will benefit the family. The Clearview students also engage in daily psycho educational groups facilitated by our program mentors. These groups help our students learn life skills to create their own success in life. Recreational therapy groups are a significant part of our summer program as well as the year round Clearview program. Our students engage in self esteem building groups, self worth, teamwork, and problem solving activities. Clearview offers our students an intensive substance abuse treatment program focused on leading our students down the road to recovery. Summer students gain education surrounding addiction, abuse behaviors, and resources to utilize back home with their families. It is our goal to have our summer students engage and increase their level of commitment in the recovery process for when they are ready to return home.

Our summer program consists of intense physical activity's that include but are not limited to: multiple day wilderness experiences; which will be designed to therapeutically leverage the outdoors in conjunction with their individualized treatment plan; hiking; canoeing; horseback riding lessons; intensive recreation therapy activities; weight lifting and individualized personal training programs to include yoga sessions taught by a certified instructor; skills/technique training in multiple team sport activities.

The summer program is a great opportunity for parents to introduce their daughter to the therapeutic setting in a structured, physically and emotionally safe environment. We understand this is an interesting time economically and our families need creative solutions that will not decrease the quality of service that is needed to get their daughters back on track! We think that this is an excellent opportunity. The cost of the Summer Program is $1200.00 per week.
