Newly formed Sage Star Center is pleased to announce that our first Student-Centered Development Course will be conducted at Cherry Gulch in February 2010.
Sage Star Center is a not-for-profit organization (application pending) that integrates Old Testament teachings to enhance the change process for young people, both Jewish and non-Jewish. Sage Star Center also connects parents to resources and is a catalyst to help local professionals and national residential programs create culturally supportive treatment responses for Jewish adolescents and young adults.
Sage Star Center offers three distinct programs to meet these objectives:
Student-Centered Development Courses, Cultural Competency Staff Training and
Consulting Services, and the Sage Star Resource Network.
"We are very excited to be working with Andy Sapp and his staff at Cherry Gulch, explained Barbara de Normandie, Executive Director of Sage Star Center. "We look forward to participating with each student during their change process."
Cherry Gulch is a ranch-style, therapeutic boarding school designed specifically for 10 -14 year old boys. Cherry Gulch's supportive, encouraging and respect-based approach is designed to build students up-rather than tear them down. Cherry Gulch is passionate about providing early intervention and prevention to help boys reach their full potential and become well-rounded, pro-social young men. We are dedicated to providing outstanding therapeutic and academic services to students and their families. This is accomplished in the context of a safe environment working toward "Building Brighter Tomorrows for the Boys of Today."
