Cherokee Creek Receives Re-Accreditation With High Commendations

Cherokee Creek Boys School is proud to announce the full re-accreditation of its program for another 5 years. Three expert educators, members of the Quality Assurance Review (QAR) Team of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), recommended another 5 years accreditation after visiting our campus at the end of February. During their visit the QAR Team spent 3 days reviewing over 1000 pages of documentation, observing classes, and interviewing our staff, students, parents, and board members.

We are extremely pleased that our highest commendations recognized the strength of our mission statement as a guide for school operations; the ongoing integration of our corporate values in our daily work; our focus on creating a quality single-gender education for boys; our emphasis on using our beautiful wooded campus as a place for recreation and education; and the essential involvement of families in the healing process.

Cherokee Creek Boys School is a therapeutic boarding school for middle school for boys, ages 11-15, located in South Carolina. The school's mission is to "Challenge boys and their families to discover what is real and true about themselves and the world around them." At CCBS, the entire staff believes in the healing power of nature, that engaging the whole family is essential to the therapeutic process and in creating a learning and living environment where the gifts of boys are celebrated.
