The community is invited to attend Chaddock's Annual Rose Tea which will be held on Sunday, June 10 from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. on the Chaddock campus at 205 South 24th Street.

A highlight of the tea will be the presentation of the 9th Annual Harry and Carlene Geisler Friend of Children Award to the Quincy Noon Kiwanis Club. The Quincy Noon Kiwanis Club is a part of a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.

The Quincy Noon Kiwanis Club actively participates in the community by donating their time, talents and resources to area schools, not-for-profit organizations, and youth based programs. Most recently they participated locally in a worldwide event, Kiwanis One Day, when they volunteered for Chaddock and removed overgrown landscaping at the Foster and Adoption Services building. It is through activities such as Kiwanis One Day, that the club lives out their mission.

"The Kiwanis focus is on providing support to children all over the world. The Quincy Noon Kiwanis Club takes this mission to heart and through a hands on approach, provides support and assistance for children in their own community. They exemplify the spirit and dedication of Harry and Carlene. It is fitting that they should receive The Harry and Carlene Geisler Friend of Children Award," remarked President/CEO Debbie Reed.

In addition to the presentation of the Harry and Carlene Geisler Friend of Children Award, the afternoon will feature traditional tea fare and a performance by the Chaddock Choir. The Chaddock Rose Tea will be held under a tent on the parade grounds, otherwise known as the front lawn. While there is no ticket charge, reservations are requested may be made by calling Deb Smith at 222-0034, extension 329.

Chaddock was founded as a ministry of the United Methodist Church in 1853 and has a legacy of more than 150 years of serving children. Today, the Chaddock team includes in excess of 220 highly trained employees who serve thousands of children and families every year through community, educational and residential services.

Licensed, accredited and nationally respected, Chaddock is on the cutting edge of trauma-focused residential treatment demonstrating excellent results for children who have experienced severe abuse, neglect, or other trauma in their early years of development.
