Dear Friends and Colleagues;

I want to let you know that I plan to retire from my position as CEO of Center for Change at the end of this year.

37 Years ago, I began my career of providing Counseling and Psychotherapy for those suffering. 30 years ago, my friends and I opened an outpatient practice called Center for Change. 22 years ago, we opened our Center for Change Specialty Hospital for Eating Disorders. I have learned so very much from my close colleagues and thousands of patients over these years. They have taught me - and all of us - about faith, hope, strength, courage, hard work, growth, and how to love. I will be forever grateful to each one of them.

Over the next few months, I will remain at the helm of CFC. I will then step aside and a new CEO will lead this great organization into the coming years. This new person will become a part of an unsurpassed group of experienced, strong, wise, kind hearted, and united leaders.

The Core team of leaders at Center for Change will remain the same. I will mention a few that you may be well aware of: Nicole Hawkins as Director of all Clinical Services, Reid Robison as Medical Director, Jeff Anderson as CFO and co-founder, Pam Kidd as Admissions Director, Melissa Taylor as Outpatient Clinical Director, Tamara Bingham Noyes as Business Development Director, and Jennifer Gill as Clinical Dietary Director. The average length of tenure and service at CFC for our top 12 leaders is about 13 years. This kind of longevity, loyalty, and unity in leadership is rare. For these individuals, the Center has truly become family. Center for Change is and will continue in good hands, and quality and compassionate care will go on.

As for me, you will see me beyond my upcoming date of retirement. It may be at a conference or a speaking engagement, at an opportunity to support Center for Change, or through mutual engagement in various worthy causes which decrease human suffering and promote happiness and joy in our wonderful world.

You will not see me as often as you have in the past. The primary purpose in my retirement from this position, which I have loved, is very clear: first and foremost, to spend more time with my wonderful wife, my 8 children and their 8 companions, and our 22 grandchildren.

I thank each of you for your amazing support and friendship to me, to my beloved colleagues, and to Center for Change. I express gratitude to each of you for the blessing you have been, and which you are.

Michael
