Dear Parents and Consultants,

In the ebb and flow of the therapeutic milieu, Cedar Ridge Academy has evolved from a very small residential treatment center to a still small but sophisticated therapeutic boarding school.

As we continue to evolve, we will be taking more of an advantage of the surrounding area and what it has to offer. We will also be changing the format of our academic component to give us greater academic offerings and more flexibility. We have signed on with Park City Independent online school to handle the bulk of our coursework and to expand our electives.

Park City Independent will not only give our students options such as foreign language, but it will also offer students the flexibility to work on their classes while on home passes, and it will even allow students to continue class work after they have reached their therapeutic goals and returned home.

Cedar Ridge Academy will still maintain a teaching staff under the direction of Jim Munford, guidance counselor. We will have support on campus for all core subject areas and for the technical aspect of being online.

Park City Independent also offers live support for the subject areas and for the technical aspect of online school. Their reputation for quality curriculum and support is one of the reasons we have decided to add Park City Independent to our course offerings.

Please look at Park City Independent online at www.parkcityindependent.com. You may also call Karren Bertola, admissions, at 801-641-8520. Karen will also be on campus during our parent workshops next week to speak with parents and address any questions they may have.

Thank you and we look forward to our continued contribution to making a difference in the lives of young people and their families.

Sincerely,
Robert Nielson
