For parents wanting help creating change in their family's dynamics, Catherine Freer Wilderness Therapy Programs is now offering parent coaching. Working with a certified parent coach, parents can focus on present issues and move toward a future that they design. Coaching empowers parents to generate new and creative solutions in order to promote long-term change within the family. Our coaches connect with parents via telephone and work with them to develop successful strategies for working with their adolescent, to implement effective rules, and to create healthy boundaries within the home.

Our Certified Parent Coaches will:

  • Empower parents to hold firm boundaries with their child

  • Discover, clarify, define parent goals, and design a plan to achieve them

  • Assist parents in overcoming obstacles and achieving goals

  • Help parents create and maintain a sustainable home contract

  • Assist parents in strengthening the relationship they have with their child

  • Help to improve parent-child communication

  • Work with parents to help shift family dynamics

  • Help parents face challenges with creativity and conviction

  • Enable parents to identify their unique parenting strengths

  • Help parents reduce their stress level

  • Work with parents to help them achieve balance in their life
