At Catherine Freer, we understand that some families can only afford to send their child to a wilderness program. That is especially true today as our nation is facing a potentially serious recession. At Freer, we are especially well-suited to work with these families:

We offer families more therapy for their dollar - a therapist resides in field 24/7 with participants, plus parents are assigned a therapist for support and guidance. In addition, all of our field staff are CADC trained.


21-day expedition option for those with financial constraints (51-days recommended).


For those families who may have additional funds for a therapeutic boarding school, please note that Santiam Crossing

School's average length of stay is seven months. And, the program includes extensive family therapy and monthly family weekends.
