Dr. Arthur Becker-Weidman will be the Keynote Speaker at an upcoming conference on Attachment and Trauma offered by Change Academy Lake of the Ozarks (CALO). This gathering will be held April 12-13, 2012 in Lake Ozark, MO.

With our Keynote Speaker, Dr. Arthur Becker-Weidman, we'll take you through attachment basics, theoretical and experiential Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy workshops, and a variety of other attachment therapy focused sessions. Professionals from a diversity of settings and occupations are encouraged to attend.

The conference will include attachment basics, as well as highlighting attachment and trauma work in a diversity of settings and how those different settings work together to better support the child and the family.

Registration packets and conference brochures may be obtained from Nicole Fuglsang.

CALO is a specialist residential treatment center dedicated to treating issues of emotional regulation, trauma, and attachment in adolescents. Foundationally, we are an interpersonal and relational program. Our interventions are focused on alignment and connection, not external pressure and control. We believe that behavior modification has been overused in the treatment of teens and strive to be at the cutting edge of the most impactful theory, treatment, and research in the helping professions. Through our conference, we will be offering education to professionals looking to provide the most impactful and innovative care to teenagers in a variety of settings - including wilderness, psychiatric hospitalization, outpatient, and residential.
