David Brinkman and his wife Melinda are excited to announce the opening of their new small, relationship based, family style program: Brinkman House, based out of their home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho to open August 1, 2009.

This program is for boy's ages 13 to 18 who may struggle with low self esteem, family conflicts, poor social and relationship skills, academic underachievement or school failure and learning difficulties, in addition to negative behavior issues.

Student will be able to attend either the local high school or do home schooling depending on need. The program offers a variable length of stay; students can stay for a semester or for a year depending on the family's needs and what makes sense in a given situation.

"We will be providing a structured family environment, encouraging young men to become active in the community around them and we will require them to volunteer locally and be active in extracurricular activities. Our family activities will involve, but are not limited to, biking, hiking, camping, tennis, fishing, boating, and gardening, working on cars, woodworking and more" says David.

"We will be taking the same relationship based approach that I have used since entering this field and offering it for up to 4 boys in our home".
