Bridges Academy is very pleased to announce that our co-founder Darrel McOmber has come out of retirement this month to teach his ever popular Experiential Science classes again (for 4 to 6 hours a week). The Bridges Academy boys requested the class after he did a demonstration last month….they want to videotape him for YouTube.

Darrel had heart surgery in January of this year and when his doctors told him that he had another 10 to 15 more years of life left in him they asked him - What do you want to do, Darrel? Darrel chose to start back doing what he's loved doing his whole life - sharing his love of how the world works with his over 180 hands-on science experiments. He loves encouraging the young people of today to give life-long learning a chance ... as Darrel has so aptly modeled with his life for 86 years!
