John Najar, a long time educator with an extensive work history that includes being a teacher, a principal, a college teacher; an addiction prevention educator of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs; working for the Department of Education at Brookdale Community College for 13 years and from there to working in the graduate school of Monmouth University and Fairleigh University, Mr. Najar has devoted the last 6 years to working in the field of Computer and Video Addiction.

Mr. Najar has studied the impact of today's technology dilemma within the family and has posted some of his findings: over 70% of the younger generation is watching four hours of media that includes TV, texting and computer use that is causing CVS- Computer Vision Syndrome. Other findings include some warning signs for parents and guardians to watch for with their children: using computer/video games can cause loss of some gross motor skills, tennis elbow and obesity; excessive use can cause vision problems and loss of sleep. Children and teens with computer/video gaming addictions can isolate from friends, school and family.

John Najar offers his clients, parents and professionals educational in-service trainings on computer game addictions, in addition to seminars and classes.
