Stuart Marshall, founder of Boulder Family Therapy offers young adults ages 17-21 in need of guidance of discovering who they are and who they truly want to become, a six day desert wilderness adventure.
Often time's life just before college or entering college can be a challenging time for young adults. A time of transition and separating from family and friends, deciding which direction they want their lives to go and possibly a newfound freedom and yet this transition can somewhat overwhelming and paralyzing.
We here at Boulder Family Therapy have found through rock climbing, floating down the Colorado River, hiking and the art of ceremony and ritual that these young adults learn to build leadership and wilderness skills, discover an inner purpose and meaning, build self reliance, trust and have fun.
Stuart Marshall is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Gestalt Therapist. He has over 10 years of clinical and wilderness experience leading clients on adventures of self-exploration. He is passionate about helping others experience and understand the importance of relationship and community.
Kerry Borcherding holds a Masters in Counseling Psychology and is a Certified Gestalt Equine Therapist. She has spent much of her life in the out of doors and has personally experienced the healing power inherent in the wilderness. Because of this, she is passionate and committed to using nature as a therapeutic means for transformation.
Our next six day adventure starts Tuesday, June 7, 2011 and returns Sunday, June 12th. This trip will leave from Boulder, CO and we will travel through to Moab, UT.
To register for this upcoming trip please contact: Stuart Marshall at: 303-475-4625 or
