Summit Achievement Selects Blueprint Education For Academic Blend

Blueprint Education and Summit Achievement are pleased to announce a new academic partnership.

This partnership will enhance academics and learning for Summit Achievement participants by expanding curriculum options to better meet their students' needs. "This partnership expands our ability to provide an individualized academic experience for our students and allows us to more precisely meet their academic objectives" says Adam Tsapis, External Relations Director for Summit Achievement. "We now offer an expansive variety of accredited courses in addition to the core English, math, social studies, and sciences." Summit Achievement's Academic Director, Jeff Hudson, will work with families and schools to select courses that will provide appropriate support for students with learning differences and to engage and intellectually challenge the most motivated students.

Summit Achievement is an innovative, therapeutic program combining the best features of a wilderness program with the best features of a special-needs boarding school by integrating a residential milieu and traditional academic instruction with challenging wilderness expeditions. Summit has newly expanded academic classrooms and updated technology which allows each student their own laptop computer for use while in school. Summit Achievement students will have the opportunity to complete 4 one quarter credit classes during the average stay in wilderness. This mastery based approach allows students to work at their own pace. This premiere blended learning curriculum (or hybrid learning) will utilize web-based services, textbooks and face-to-face interaction between students and teachers to reinforce the benefits of a more personalized learning experience.
