Benchmark Celebrates 19 Year Anniversary

Benchmark Transitions, founded on September 9, 1993, by Jayne S. Longnecker-Harper, is proud to announce its 19-Year Anniversary. Benchmark is family owned and operated and is now one of the longest running programs of its milieu.

Benchmark began with 1 student, 1 staff member and 1 bed and has grown to include 62 beds in community-based based apartments, a 20,000 square foot education/life skills center, 10 licensed therapeutic clinicians; and a staff of over 25 instructors, certified drug and alcohol counselor, certified primary/residential life-coaches and counselors, providing 24/7 awake mentoring of over 50 emerging young adult students.

As an aftercare program, we compliment the traditional approach to primary residential and wilderness therapeutic treatments by offering an extended, long-term step down program with a curriculum of life skills, education and vocational programs, emotional growth, intensive clinical treatment and Recovery by Benchmark™, our intensive substance addiction treatment component, integrated into our comprehensive curriculum.

Benchmark Transitions is the only therapeutic transitional living program to have an on-site, integrated and Nationally Accredited (WASC & NPSAG) high school curriculum. Our education department offers academic assessment, curriculum guidance and career testing, accredited high school diploma, vocational programs, academic monitoring and support, in addition to offsite community college, university and extension classes.

Benchmark Transitions is a residential transitional living program for young adult men and women, providing clinical treatment, recovery, aftercare, education, and life skills.
