Benchmark Celebrates
17 Year Anniversary

Benchmark Transitions is proud to announce its 17-Year Anniversary. Founded in September, 1993, by Jayne S. Longnecker, Benchmark has been a pioneer in the industry of emotional growth schools and programs for troubled young adults.

Benchmark's tradition of helping families began with Jaynie's early vision - to offer a place where parents could entrust their grown child in a nurturing environment, a place where learning differences meant new options and education would be a priority. A place where courage, conscience and character would count and where we would teach the skills needed to make it happen. A place where old hurts could be mended and new friendships would flourish.

That vision started with one student, one staff member and one bed and has grown to include an 18-unit apartment complex with 55 beds and a 20,000 square foot education and life skills center where licensed therapeutic clinicians, certified drug and alcohol counselors and life-coaching staff now mentor over 45 students.

With sobriety and the 12-Steps providing a solid foundation, we've added an intensive 12-Step addiction recovery program to our Life Skills curriculum. We reach beyond and compliment the 30/60/90 day treatment programs by offering extended care with flexibility for 6, 12 and 18 month length of stays. The Benchmark Young Adult School high school curriculum is now nationally accredited and our education department offers academic assessment, curriculum guidance and career testing. Students live and work with their peers, enjoying fun and sober community events like concerts under the stars, picnic in the park, baseball games, hiking in the local mountains and going to the beach with friends.

Benchmark Transitions is a comprehensive therapeutic and residential transitional living program for 18-28 year old men and women providing behavioral-health clinical treatment, addiction recovery, aftercare, educational opportunities, and life skills.
