Benchmark is pleased to announce the establishment of the Benchmark Transitions Clinical Assessment Center.

The Clinical Assessment Center is directed by Robert Record, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist who holds licenses in both California and Idaho. Dr. Record will team with Benchmark's Clinical Director, James Powell, Ph.D., to provide neuropsychological assessments to Benchmark students.

In addition, Benchmark has recently partnered with a team of experienced clinicians, providing therapeutic resources throughout the length of stay:

Ramona Zvereva, M.D., is an Addiction Psychiatrist, Board-Certified in general and addiction psychiatry, as well as ASAM Certified in Addiction Medicine with a private practice in Los Angeles.

Daniel F. Casella, MA, MFT, CHT, has thirty years of childcare, social work and outpatient psychotherapy experience in the Inland Empire. He specializes in the elimination of habit disorders, e.g., addictions, as well as parent-effectiveness and enrichment/enhancement of relationships.

Leslie Bloom, LMFT Intern, who holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from California Polytechnic University Pomona, with experience in providing mental health services to school based children with behavioral issues.

Our new clinicians join Dr. William Nelson and Linda Lucas, both of whom have worked with Benchmark students for several years.

In addition, Benchmark is pleased to announce that Brent Bowers has joined our team as a clinical outreach specialist. Brent will be working closely with alcohol and drug treatment programs, therapists and other behavioral health and addiction providers regarding clinical outreach and business development.

Brent has been in behavioral health and addictions field for over twenty years. He began his career as a youth counselor in a residential treatment program in San Diego and has always enjoyed helping adolescents and young adults. Brent has successfully established several reputable programs from the ground up, effectively marketed and provided outreach for a wide range of programs from hospital-based services to high-end drug and alcohol treatment facilities. Brent has worked with several private business owners as well as large corporations including Universal Health Services, a company that now owns and operates several therapeutic schools and behavioral health programs across the country.

Brent has also served as Administrator and Facility Operations Manager for several programs throughout the country such as The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health and Passages, a well-known drug and alcohol treatment center located in Malibu, California.

Benchmark Transitions is a comprehensive therapeutic and residential transitional living program for 18-28 year old men and women providing clinical treatment, addiction recovery, aftercare, education and life skills.
