We are excited to announce that BaMidbar Wilderness Therapy launched the first ever kosher and shabbat observant wilderness therapy program for Jewish young adults. BaMidbar Wilderness Therapy, is a program of the nonprofit Ramah in the Rockies.
Based 90 miles southwest of Denver, BaMidbar Wilderness Therapy guides Jewish young adults on individualized journeys of self-discovery and healing. Through nature-based therapy, BaMidbar is a stepping stone to independent, healthy adulthood.

EVIDENCE-BASED MODALITIES
At BaMidbar, we believe that there is no such thing as a "one size fits all" approach. We offer a customized array of evidence-based treatment to help each student find their unique path to wellness. Students ands therapists develop individualized treatment plans based on each student's diagnosis, symptoms, and self-defined goals. Modalities used include Trauma Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Approach, and Pastoral Counseling, to name a few.
FAMILY INVOLVEMENT
BaMidbar Wilderness Therapy takes a family-systems approach. Family involvement includes:
Weekly calls with student's therapist
Bi-weekly family support groups
Written therapy assignments
Mid-season family visit, including clinician-led parent workshop and family therapy in the field
LENGTH OF PROGRAM
BaMidbar accepts students on a rolling admissions basis. The average length of stay is between 8 to 12 weeks, with a minimum 50 day stay.
