Aspiro Acquires Daniels Academy

The Aspiro Group announces its formal ownership and management of Daniels Academy. The Aspiro Group will be providing ongoing support and oversight of Daniels Academy in all areas of operation including personnel and business systems, clinical support, curriculum enhancement, marketing/admissions, and research.

"Although the Aspiro Group has provided some areas of clinical consultation and systems support to Daniels Academy in the past, we are now thrilled to announce the formal acquisition of this very specialized school." explained Brian Church, President of The Aspiro Group.

In addition to acquiring Daniels Academy, Aspiro has appointed Dr. Shane Whiting, LMFT, as the new Executive Director of Daniels Academy. Dr. Whiting brings over 10 years of residential treatment and wilderness therapy experience. His past management of clinical directorship and operations in residential programing will be invaluable as Daniels Academy continues to progress in its specialty. His clinical areas of expertise surrounding the assessment and treatment of neurodevelopmental issues, learning differences, executive functioning deficits, social deficits, processing issues, and spectrum disorders are in direct alignment with the Daniel's Academy client profile.

Dr. Whiting's rich experience working with this population as a wilderness therapist will undoubtedly have a strong impact on the ability to understand and provide an effective transition into the Daniel's Academy milieu. "I am excited to be joining the talented team at Daniels Academy," Dr. Whiting said of his new position. "Working with this specialized population in a setting where community immersion can be utilized as an effective treatment modality is exciting and innovative."

Daniels Academy is a small home-style residential program & school that provides both academic and emotional support to teenage boys, ages 13-18, with learning differences. Each component of the Daniels Academy program is designed to support the development of executive functioning and relationship skills.
