Aspiro Thanks Those Helping With Their Success

Aspiro is proud to update and highlight the success of its new year-round program, Vantage Point by Aspiro. Vantage Point by Aspiro is a specialized, short-term, outdoor, adventure therapy and assessment program for boys and girls ages 13 through 17. We operate year round to provide efficacy building experiences for students with a variety of learning, neuro-developmental and clinical issues.

Vantage Point began operations on May 1st of 2008, and had a full group by the end of May! As word quickly spread about this new dynamic program, our second group filled soon after that. We are proud of our accomplishments, and at the same time are very humbled by and grateful for the opportunity to assist such wonderful students and families.

We feel especially gratified to have demonstrated the effectiveness of adventure therapy and the outdoors in working with students with significant learning, neuro-developmental and clinical issues. Our specialized approach has enabled Vantage Point to assist many students who may not have been able to function in a traditional outdoor therapy program. Our base camp, flexibility and life skills training have been very effective in helping our students. These factors, combined with our clinically sophisticated, functional and specialized assessment provide an opportunity unparalleled in the private treatment sector.

Our students have been able to safely enjoy the fun, challenging and self efficacy building experiences of hiking, backpacking, camping, swimming, canoeing, fishing, mountain biking, canyoneering, indoor and outdoor climbing and rappelling. Our students benefit tremendously from the physical challenge of living every day in the outdoors. We have been able to provide the highest levels of clinical assessment through onsite evaluations and evolutions from professionals in the community. As an example, students have had medical, psychological, neuropsychological, psychiatric and sleep study evaluations while participating in Vantage Point over the past few months. We are looking forward to many exciting opportunities as we make our way in to the fall and winter seasons. Utah provides many wonderful year round adventure opportunities. As we go into the fall season, we are continuing to expand our program and services. We also look forward to establishing operations on our new base camp in a slightly warmer area of Utah. We continue to forge new alliances in the local professional community. We are investigating ways to offer Vantage Point by Aspiro services to a larger range of students. Our passion is to provide the very best in clinical assessment and therapy services in a safe, challenging and exciting outdoor experience!
