Aspen Ranch, a licensed residential treatment center for struggling teens ages 13-17, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Knutson, LPC, NCC, to Executive Director. Knutson is the Ranch's former Program Director.

"We are delighted that Kevin has accepted this well-deserved promotion," said Robin Stephens, Regional Director for Aspen Ranch. "Kevin is one of the architects of the integrated equine therapy program at the Ranch and has been an active part of the management team for the past three years. His vast experience and proven leadership will help ensure the Ranch's continued success."

Knutson is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Board Certified Counselor. Prior to Aspen Ranch, Knutson worked as a school counselor for families and youth in crisis, and taught life and decision-making skills to junior high and high school students. He also was the clinical director for a private counseling service, a university instructor of mental health courses, and a therapist at a youth wilderness program. He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Brigham Young University, and is a former Captain for the U.S. Army. Knutson also is a Certified Red Cross Disaster Mental Health Services Worker.

"I am honored to take on the Executive Director role for a program in which I so firmly believe," said Knutson. "We have created an outstanding environment for teens to overcome the behavioral and emotional obstacles in their lives. I look forward to continuing our mission of restoring function to the family unit by providing high quality, evidence-based treatment services from an experienced staff of professionals."
