The Aspen Institute for Behavioral Assessment, a licensed and accredited specialty psychiatric hospital for adolescents in Syracuse, Utah, is delighted to announce that Brandon Park, Ph.D. will be joining the team as Director of Assessment. Dr. Park is a neuropsychologist and a behavioral specialist who comes to us with over 10 years of experience in neuropsychology across a variety of settings.

Most recently, Dr. Park was at Outback Therapeutic Expeditions as their neuropsychologist providing assessment and treatment to troubled adolescents in a wilderness setting. Prior to that he spent five years as senior psychologist at Napa State Hospital where he specialized in neuropsychodiagnostic assessment. Dr. Park brings to Aspen Institute a strong background in performing neuropsychological consultations and evaluations for a wide range of diagnostic categories. His vast experience working on interdisciplinary teams is an excellent fit for Aspen Institute's mission to provide psychiatric stabilization and comprehensive evaluation, assessment, treatment, and integrated prescriptive services for adolescents.

Dr. Park has been published in several professional journals including The Clinical Neuropsychologist, Journal of Clinical and Experimental Neuropsychology, and Applied Neuropsychology, and he has presented at conferences on a wide range of topics nationwide. His strong communication and interpersonal skills will be of tremendous value to the Aspen Institute staff, students and families.

Dr. Park was born and raised in nearby Payson, Utah. He enjoys hiking, camping and cooking with his wife, Marci, and their three daughters. His entire career has been focused on assessment and collaborative treatment, making him exceedingly well qualified to assist the Aspen Institute team in offering stabilization, diagnostics and the treatment of co-occurring disorders.

About the Aspen Institute for Behavioral Assessment
The Aspen Institute for Behavioral Assessment is licensed as a specialty psychiatric hospital for adolescents from 13-17 years old. The average length of stay ranges from 30-45 days depending on the clinical need. The Institute's mission is to provide stabilization, diagnostic clarity, and the formulation of a longitudinal treatment plan for optimal treatment options. The diagnostic profile served at the Institute includes the full continuum of mental health disorders. The assessment is achieved via psychotherapy, neuropsychological testing, classroom assessments, therapeutic milieu, and psychiatric stabilization. The therapeutic assessment is a multi-disciplinary approach consisting of two hours of individual therapy, one hour of family therapy and five hours of group therapy weekly by fully licensed therapists. Weekly psychiatric sessions occur for medication management and full psychiatric evaluation. At the end of the assessment, each family receives a "roadmap" to guide them through the next stage of treatment and life.
