After a few weeks of sending you all sad news I am thrilled to announce that Dr. Rick Meeves has been promoted to Regional Vice President of Aspen Education Group Western Youth Services.

Rick will be taking over for Susan Cambria who has resigned her position. Susan was a terrific leader for us and we appreciate her years of service. She will continue to work with Rick until early fall to ensure a seamless transition.

In his new position, Rick will oversee six of Aspen's programs including Utah's Island View RTC, Aspen Institute for Behavioral Assessment, Turn-About Ranch, Youth Care RTC, and Outback Therapeutic Expeditions, as well as Copper Canyon Academy in Rimrock, Arizona. Shawn Farrell will continue to lead SUWS of the Carolinas and Phoenix Outdoor, and Jack Kline will continue to lead Four Circles Recovery Center in North Carolina.

Many of you who know (admire, respect) Rick can appreciate how happy I am to share this news with you. For those of you who haven't met Rick, he is a man of integrity who has a passion for healing families and the experience, expertise, intelligence and compassion to be a strong leader. Here is a bit more of his bio:
  • Rick is an industry veteran who founded the successful wilderness program Outback Therapeutic Expeditions in 2001, and joined what has become CRC Health in 2004.
  • He has been active in this industry for nearly 20 years.
  • Rick has great experience providing onsite and remote support services and serving as mentor and coach to clinical directors and staff to drive the improvement of clinical and operational excellence.
  • He has consulted with national and international companies, and conducted multiple lectures and trainings on a variety of topics related to treatment settings, family, children, and organizational success.
  • He has been featured as an expert on Access Hollywood and in numerous parenting magazines.

  • He is truly a leading mind in this field.
Please join me in welcoming Rick. I know he is looking forward to working closely with you all. Should you like to drop him a note his email address is: rmeeves@outbacktreatment.com

In the meantime don't hesitate to give me a call (707-758-6443) or drop me a line if you need help with anything, want to tour programs or just to catch up on things. I've been thinking about you all and appreciate your patience!

Warmest regards,
Karen Eusebio
