Asheville Academy for Girls is pleased to announce the recent of appointment of Dr. Jennifer Zeisz, Ph.D, as Assistant Clinical Director of Asheville Academy for Girls. In her new position, Dr. Zeisz will assist Mary Flora, to ensure that the clinical programming for Asheville Academy for Girls is seamless and effective. She will also be involved in quality assurance by conducting efficacy research with students and families.

Dr. Zeisz has been working in the industry for over 15 years. After receiving her master's degree in psychology degree from Connecticut College and her doctoral degree from DePaul University in 1997, she completed postdoctoral training at the Child Study Center in Chicago. There, she gained expertise in assessing infants and children who had experienced institutionalized care, foster placement, and adoption.

Since moving to North Carolina in 2000, Dr. Zeisz has developed a thriving private practice in Asheville providing assessment, intervention, and therapy for children, adolescents, and their families. She is passionate about helping her clients gain insight, discover their inner strength, clarify their goals, and take practical steps to create productive, peaceful, and successful lives.

Dr. Zeisz's specialized training includes: trauma, depression, anxiety, emotional regulation, Autism Spectrum Disorder, school refusal, and maladaptive behaviors.
