Bryan Tomes Announced
as Executive Director

Asheville Academy for Girls, a therapeutic boarding school for girls' ages 10 to 14 located outside of Asheville, NC, is excited to announce Bryan Tomes as Executive Director. Tomes, who has been serving as Head of School since the Academy's opening in early December, will continue to provide oversight, guidance, and mentoring to Asheville's team, while further growing and developing a comprehensive curriculum that provides the highest quality services to girls and their families.

Bryan received formal training from the University of South Carolina Columbia in the area of secondary education. He also received training in secondary education from Mars Hill College. Recently, he has been studying with Western Carolina University on program leadership with an emphasis on alternative education.

Tomes has been working with in therapeutic boarding schools for over 7 years. This is the third program he has developed and launched. Bryan has been an innovator in the area of therapeutic programs and served as the Academic Director at New Leaf Academy for Girls. In this role, Bryan was responsible for integrating an innovative college preparatory curriculum and therapeutic programs to help teens develop their academic and personal potential.
