Ashcreek Ranch Academy, a premier accredited residential treatment center for adolescent boys, is pleased to announce the promotion of Ryan Tingey, PhD (ABD), MSW, LCSW, to Clinical Director. Ryan joined Ashcreek Ranch in 2013.
Ryan has worked with adolescents and their families in a variety of settings including intensive community-based outpatient clinics, school-based programs, and residential treatment centers for over 13 years. Ryan's professional experience in these settings has been as a direct care staff, therapist, and program director. His therapeutic style can best be described as client-centered with an equine experiential approach to treatment that encourages clients to take ownership of their treatment and future. Ryan specializes in identity needs of adolescents dealing with addictive behaviors, mood disorders, trauma, and attachment.
Ryan graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor's degree in human development and family science, and earned a master's degree in social work from Loma Linda University. Ryan is completing his dissertation to receive his Ph.D. in human development and family studies with an emphasis in identity needs in adolescents engaged in high-risk behaviors from Texas Tech University.
