Dan Kemp Returns To North Idaho

Ascent is pleased to announce that Dan Kemp has accepted the position of Admissions Director. Dan has worked with both wilderness programs and long term therapeutic boarding schools for more than thirteen years and has a comprehensive understanding of the challenges facing troubled teens and the needs of families in crisis. Dan holds a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in sociology and teaching from the University of Utah.

Located in the beautiful Selkirk Mountain Range of the Idaho Panhandle, Ascent works with young people from 13 yrs to 18 yrs old. Our basecamp facility, nestled in this pristine wilderness setting, enables Ascent to offer a safe, deliberate and exhilarating process for stabilizing behavior, assessing physical and psychological health and building a plan for success. The Ascent program is licensed by the State of Idaho and accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO)
