Angelus House at Wellspring is a co-ed adult residential program for those 18 and over who struggle with psychiatric and psychological disorders that may include PTSD, personality and mood disorders, eating disorders or for those with dual diagnosis of substance abuse.
Dave Ferguson, LCSW is the Program Director at Angelus House. Other staff includes Sarah Van Doren, LCSW and John Battista, MD, Psychiatrist. Wellspring is a member of the Connecticut Association of Nonprofits, CAPSEF, and the American Residential Treatment Association and The Children's League of Connecticut. Accreditation is by the Joint Commission and licensure is by the State of Connecticut.
As part of their individualized treatment plan, residents participate in individual and group therapy, family therapy and art, recreation and adventure therapies that include animal assisted therapy and yoga. Residents may attend AA and need to be motivated in making real changes in their lives and able to participate in the therapeutic activities.
